The world’s most prolific rocket, the SpaceX Falcon 9, has been given clearance to resume flights by federal regulators, after being grounded on August 28 following an explosion during a landing attempt. The Federal Aviation Administration approved the rocket to return to flight operations while an investigation into the anomaly remains open. SpaceX has two important missions coming up: the Polaris Dawn mission, which will attempt the first commercial spacewalk, and Crew-9, where two NASA astronauts will be launched to the International Space Station. The investigations into the explosion and the failed booster landing are still ongoing.
